2010 Handmade quilt being raffled off to benefit Relay for Life A batik "Sunburst" handmade quilt is being raffled off by the New Beginnings Cancer Support Group to benefit the 2010 Relay for Life event, May 21-22. Tickets for the 80-inch by 90-inch quilt are $1 each; and are available at Lacy's H.W. Little Hardware, Fancy Crafts, Anson Bank & Trust and New Beginnings members. The drawing will be held at the Relay for Life ceremony on May 21. Distribution meetings set for hearing loss equipment Pre-registration is underway for group meetings at the Hampton B. Donations sought for Prom Night 2010 dresses "Please help us make Prom Night, a special night for so many young people, happen for our young ladies," asks Nichole Cox, a Prom Night coordinator.
