54th Annual Membership Meeting & Banquet
The Anson County Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 54th Annual Membership Meeting & Banquet on October 11th with over 140 Chamber members attending. A special thanks to our all of our Corporate Sponsors and to Carolinas HealthCare System for being the Banquet Sponsor. Congratulations to our award winners! Lewis Evans received the W. Dunlap Covington Community Service Award and Sen. Tom McInnis received the Henry W. Little III Award for Community Leadership (photo left below). Brandis Chewning and Sam Cash (photo right below) were recognized as Outgoing Board of Directors and thanked for the service and dedication to the Chamber. Richard Allen was also recognized as the Outgoing Board Chairman. It was a great night to celebrate and thank all of our members for their support to the Chamber and to Anson County.

Leadership Anson Class 2016
The Leadership Anson Program enjoyed its 20th graduation ceremony on August 10th at South Piedmont Community Colleges Lockhart-Taylor Center. Leadership Anson was created to develop a commitment to community through leadership. This graduating class totals 295 participants that have completed the program. A number of family, friends, and sponsors of the program attended this special event. Special Guest speaker for the evening was Sen. Thomas N. McInnis.
